Carson McCullers Society
The Carson McCullers Society was founded in June of 1997 at the ALA
conference in Baltimore with the goal to be a forum for the scholarly and informal
exchange of information on Carson McCullers, her life, work and influences.
Membership in the Carson McCullers Society includes an issue of the annual
Carson McCullers Society Newsletter which includes articles, reviews, an
annual bibliography, and information on and events relating to McCullers. In addition to
the newsletter, members of the society will receive periodic e-mail notices of interest to
McCullers scholars. The society also sponsors or supports McCullers sessions at the MLA
and ALA annual conferences.
Dues for membership in the McCullers Society are $10.00 per year. Charter
memberships are available until 1 June 1998 for $20.00
